Poetry Week: Blackout Poetry

Stop by the library during poetry week to create your own found poetry. Blackout poetry is composed by eliminating—or blacking out—words from an existing text (a page from a magazine, newspaper, etc.) and forming a poem from the remaining words. Take your finished blackout poetry home or let us add it to our library display for everyone to enjoy.
